It's not a real comic until it's down in paper and ink.

Congratulations, Hanzo!

Yours is far better than their cover, IMO.

Absolutely. It looks more like Hanzo's is the professional job and the cover is the fan art.

Thanks for the kind words!

Steve McArdle is the real deal as far as I'm concerned. Pure heart, pure love of comics. Vendetta is one of the most wildly entertaining comics I've ever read.

I have been coloring my color and the process is tedious, so I decided to take a short break to draw some 90s characters. And there's no characters more 90s than Steve McArdle's Red Bullet heroes -- Black Dagger, Artillery, Vendetta, and Psi-Clone!

And at long last... my comic is complete.

Now to figure out how to get a proof somewhere so I can make sure the colors don't come out too dark or whatever.

As I wait on my proof from the printer, I decided to work on a style that's a) less painful and more fun, b) faster to execute, and c) leans more into my natural strengths (I dearly wish I was a great draftsman like Alan Davis or Garcia Lopez, but alas) for my next project. I was blanking on what to draw and didn't want to do original characters -- wanted to focus on the drawing itself and not the designs.

So I took another swing at the adult versions of the D&D adventuring party since I never really liked the first one I did even though it got such a good response on Facebook. The original --

Looks good. Yeah, WoTC has embraced the old D&D cartoon and slipped in several images of them (older) into
the 2024 and 2025 core D&D books.

Those new ones are great Hanzo! I really like the old one too though, despite your opinion. No artist ever thinks their work is good enough. :)

So anyway... when will the 12 issue maxi-series be completed so I can read it?

LOL, I doubt I'll draw 12 issues in my entire life. It's a single 40-page one-shot, totally self-contained. I should be getting a proof from Ka-Blam any day now and depending on whether I need to make tweaks, I should know pretty soon.

Thanks for your interest, really appreciate the positivity.

Thanks. I only saw one episode a year or two ago. I was just looking to draw a classic D&D adventure party and figured they'd do -- except I didn't want to draw kids, so I made them adults.

Here's one of the shots if you're interested: older than kids but not much older.
