Lets do music, first. I think this can go hand-in-hand with leo's investigation as to what albums y'all have.
I'm just curious how many are still using cassettes, vinyl, or 8-tracks? Linda need not answer, cuz if she has anything analog, she'll never live it down!

For me, I cannot think of anything I own on tape or vinyl, other than some comics that came with records or tapes (I don't know if I could even play them!). I have my MiniDisc recorder/player and a portable, but that was used mostly for travelling, and I rarely remix stuff anymore, though I still like the MD technology.

CDs, DVDs and (disk based) MP3s.

My last car had an in-dash MP3 player. I was going to wait for the in-dash MP3 via DVD players (3,600 minutes of music!) for my new car - but they don't appear to be imminent. :(

I don't even own a VCR anymore. When the grandkids put one-to-many peanut butter sandwiches in the last one, I didn't bother to replace it.

I still have several hundred LP's and 7" singles. Some of them will probably never see the light of day in digital format. (the quad mix of Blue Oyster Cult's Tyranny and Mutation may be pretty bitchin', but I don't see the masses clamoring for it)

I also have 6 or 7 hundred CD's and a bunch of cassettes floating around, not to mention a few MD's and whatever is on the iPod.

Just call me a junkie.

Still haven't gotten on the MP3 bandwagon yet, so I'm still
a CD guy, although I still have dozens of albums on cassette.
In fact, a few weeks ago, when the question of the name of
the robot in the movie Short Circuit came up, I realized that I
actually have the El Debarge album on cassette with the
song "Who's Johnny?" on it.

I also have 1 remote control CD player/radio. I didn't realize
until I bought it & got home that it didn't have a cassette player in it,
so now the only time I can listen to any of my cassettes is in my
car.

I have one DVD player, two VCRs (though one is about to get replaced), and about four CD/Tape/Radio boom boxes - Bedroom, Living Room (left by my brother when he moved across the country), the portable one, and the older portable one that I thought the CD part had died (the laser sticks sometimes and doesn't want to play unless you beat on it) so I bought another one; the newest one is about four years old.

I also have a Laser Disc player that got fried in a power brownout but I'll probably get repaired because some of the LDs haven't made it over to DVD yet.

I thought we were just talkin' about music stuff,
but I also have 2 VCRs' & 1 DVD/VCR (& 3
T.V.'s). Plus my computer plays DVD's too, not
that I ever use it for that. It might even play CD's but
I'm not sure.

Bannings: Banned!?! Hey...
I've still got a case of cassettes sitting around somewhere... never listen to 'em anymore. I even removed the tape deck from the audio rack.

Just sold the last of my (vinyl) albums on eBay a few months ago.

It's all CDs and MP3s for me.

The first CD I ever bought was.... hmm.... Dire Straits "Brothers In Arms" and Phil Collins "Face Value". 1985 that was.

I have one 8-Track - A Very Brady Christmas... No kidding. (I've had it since I was three and was very excited when I found a copy on CD five years ago.)

Numerous 45's on vinyl.

Handful of Albums including Hotel California and Elvis' 1969: Year in Review.

I don't have the hardware to play any of the above, though I'm still waiting for Rod Stewart's album Foolish Behavior to come out on CD in the U.S. It has a great song (Better Off Dead) on there.

Handful of casette tapes. Some of which I haven't found their CD equivalents, so I still listen to them.

Many, many CD's. The first one was Bob Seger's Live Bullet I won in 1987 off the radio. Didn't get my first CD player until 12 months later.

I have a handful of DVD-Audio and DTS CD's.

Made some backup copies of my CD's to MP3's.
