True or false?

Discuss here, so that the cosplay thread can go back to the glorious enterprise that is hot chicks in superhero costumes.

True.
I'll admit that my view could be jaundiced, given the audio horrors I was exposed to via radio (and the fact that I cannot unsee the dreadful clothing, hairstyles, and attitudes concurrently popularized).

Ambivalent to the subject.

Y'all are crazy. The 1970's had some of the best music of all time.

Led Zeppelin IV? Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall? Rolling Stones' Exile of Main Street? Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life and Innervisions? Derek & the Dominos' Layla album? Nick Drake's Pink Moon? Simon & Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water? Marvin Gaye's Let’s Get it On and What’s Going On? John Lennon's Imagine? Michael Jackson's Off the Wall? Neil Young's After the Gold Rush? Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run? Boston's self-titled album?

THIS IS MADNESS.

I just scratch my head -- I could keep going with that list times 10. CCR, Allman Brothers, Skynrd, Crosby Stills, Nash, & Young, David Bowie, Bruce . . . . mind boggling to me.

Y'all make Eric Clapton sad. This song will be the official anthem of the fail that is this thread.

The rock superstars of the 70s still sell out arenas and stadiums. Everyone still digs the music--kids and their parents. It still connects to people.

Listen to any classic rock station and count the percentage of 70s music to other decades, even the venerated 60s.

Go to a party or wedding. What gets people on the dance floor? 70s disco.

I've probably mentioned this before, but I have a friend who is the son of one of the members of Derek & the Dominos. I would tell which one, but they are very private in such matters.

But you can at least confirm it is one of the Dominos, and not Derek?

False (this should've been a poll).

I'm truly baffled by any such claims. This may have been rock music's strongest decade.

What kind of music does Jeff like besides shitty punk rock?
