I must say that I agree with this one hundred percent. But it's not limited to just black characters. Comics at the big two have a history of outdated stereotypes, lingo and ideas.

I can't decide how I feel about the new Wally. I like the idea of a black Flash/Kid Flash, but DC seems to have moved so far from the original character both visually and in characterization, that one would think that they would have just made given him a different name and made him an entirely new character.

The old Wally had a really good run (HA!). But I'm willing to give the new version a shot. Just remember anything you don't like about the New 52, and anything you miss about the old DC? All Barry Allen's fault.

And I would have had no issues with that.
