Could "Arizona" be a cover of the old Mark Lindsay hit?

Nope. Apparently he mentioned in an interview having written it himself. Speculation on one of the RW message boards is that the song is about a UFO-related experience he once had there.

Bump: this is now going to be released domestically. See first post for updated details.

Good Lord. This thing is bad. I mean really bad. My wife walked in and asked if I was listening to the Backstreet Boys.
Gone completely is the edge Robbie had when he first came out – it's been replaced by disco and bad sampling. Trevor Horn's production is really only evident in a track or two and nowhere does he deliver the depth and freshness we're used to from his productions. I was also expecting a resurgence from the reunion of Williams and Guy Chambers but this sounds nothing like their collaborations from earlier in his career.
I'm not really sure why this one is even getting a domestic release. It's about as far from American tastes as possible (but it does sound like something that may be a big hit across the pond).
Hopefully repeated listenings will make this album grow on me. It's certainly better than his last few – but that's not saying much.

Had my first listen this morning and could not disagree more. This will be one of my favorite discs of 2009. IMO, this is easily the best thing Robbie's done since "Sing When You're Winning." Still not a fan of the single, but Anglophillic me loves the rest of it.

For you folks who like Robbie Williams, you might want to check out a new band called Neon Trees. Sounds a lot like good Robbie!
