Product Description
Hailing from the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York, The Duke & The King present this definitive collection of songs which have quickly elevated the band as critics' favorites, receiving outstanding acclaim throughout Europe. Fronted by ex-Felice Brother Simone Felice and revelling in their ongoing love affair with rock, folk, soul and psychedelia, Felice and longtime musical partner Bobbie Bird Burke have officially knighted two irreplaceable members to the cast; Nowell The Deacon Haskins (of Parliament / Funkadelic lineage), and the sensational Simi Stone, both of whom contribute golden vocals throughout this stunning collection of songs, culled from the group's two previous albums not available in the U.S.

1. If You Ever Get Famous
2. Shaky
3. The Morning I Get To Hell
4. No Easy Way Out
5. Union Street
6. Hudson River
7. You And I
8. Shine On You
9. O' Gloria
10. Have You Seen It?
11. One More American Song
12. Don't Take That Plane Tonight

I got an copy of this CD from a friend at Silva Oak, and I'm already impressed on first listen. Acoustic folk with some really nice soulful vocals from a few different singers. The packaging is nothing special. It's a 4-panel LP-replica type sleeve with no inserts, no lyrics, no liner notes.
