With the story behind Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska set to be explored by the feature film Deliver Me From Nowhere, Nebraska ’82: Expanded Edition (4 CDs + 1 Blu-ray) gathers revelatory unheard material from this prolific period including the fabled Electric Nebraska sessions with the E Street Band and solo home and studio recordings, joined by a 2025 remaster of the original album, plus a new performance film of all ten Nebraska songs played in sequence. Springsteen’s 1982 acoustic masterwork is augmented by 17 contemporary recordings (15 previously unreleased) that were part of the groundswell of inspiration that shaped Nebraska and share its haunting themes. Together, they expand our understanding of how this seminal album came to be and reflect the breadth of Springsteen’s creative intentions at a pivotal moment in his artistic development.

A must-own! I pre-ordered in record time, I think. This is a musical Holy Grail that's been on my list for decades, along with Smile by the Beach Boys and the Complete Basement Tapes. Those have come out and now this. So excited to hear it!

Yep an instant pre-order. I was pleasantly surprised by the price as well...still a little high imo, but at least south of $80, so there is hope.

$80 is the full retail price. Expect that to go down prior to the release date.

After the Tracks II gauging, I'll happily take this. It'll probably drift down into the mid-$60 range at some point.

Does anyone know when the Count Basie Theatre performance was recorded? Is it Bruce solo or with a band?

Just him with a guitar. I think full band would've been cooler for this set, but I'm in it for the vintage recordings.

Not a bad price for this one. Still hoping the Tracks II box set comes down in price to something reasonable.
