Turns out there is a 96/24 / 192/24 digital only version also. Contents wise, it's very similar to the 2013 hi-res, + a 1972 concert.

I haven't had time to a/b it for a sound quality comparison, but I'm enjoying it.

In one of the reviews of this release at Amazon, someone wrote: "There is a really bad edit on Disc 4 - the Live version of "Close To The Edge". At 3:09 into the song the sound abruptly cuts off for two or three seconds which is then followed by five seconds of the song played backwards (I kid you, not!)?"

Has anyone here bought this yet? If so, please confirm if this is the case. Other than Amazon, it seems to be on backorder everywhere else, so I'm wondering if Rhino is correcting the error before making it available again.

Yes, it does have that glitch.

Thanks for confirming, Dan. Someone at Rhino didn't carefully check the master before sending it off to the pressing plant. I'm surprised it's still available on Amazon, unless Rhino isn't replacing the defective disc. I wonder if the streaming version has the same glitch. I'll have to check that out.

Just listened to that part on Apple Music and yep it’s there at 3:09 and it’s pretty goofy as the tape does go backwards!

I believe this live show from the Rainbow is the same show that was filmed for the Yessongs movie. I wouldn't be surprised if the show was filmed in it's entirety and this audio lifted from that. Sure wish they'd do a digital restoration of that and release in it's entirety if that is the case.

The 192/24 kHz stereo remix is a revelation. The keyboards and vocals are considerably better. Very crank able.

Rhino is saying the glitch in Close to the Edge was how it was on the tape, and they decided to just leave it as is. I'm surprised they didn't put a disclaimer in the liner notes to warn people of this.

They could have also snipped out the glitch. That's probably why this show wasn't on Progeny...........

Apparently Topographic Oceans is next and they are promising a lot of rare material including live performances.

This might be the one that doesn’t just include the same old stuff recycled.

This set is currently $74.49 at Amazon. That's very close to the price point I've hoped for, but I have a feeling it's eventually going to be significantly less...so i will wait a little bit longer.

Yeah, I saw this, and then I looked up my orders for the Fragile and Yes deluxes I bought. They were both in the $50 range. I anticipate closer to holidays.
