The USA pre-order link in the first post is now active.
Steven Wilson mixes, 5.1 and Atmos are the main selling points of this box, less so the bonus and live tracks, although it's good to have everything in one place.

The original Bluray edition from 10 or so years ago is great. I have an Atmos system set up at home but to be honest it doesn't make the music any better. Just a bit different. Including vinyl is always a deal breaker for me anyway.

I don't have an Atmos set up, so the SW blu-ray CD/Blu-ray set is fine for me.
And surround sound is not a big deal for me anymore. I guess the novelty wore off at some point...

Anyone know if the Wilson remix will be available separately in 24 bit or SACD (pretty much any digital format would work for me)?
I would doubt if you will see a physical stand-alone of the Wilson stuff in the next couple of years. For The Yes Album and Fragile, Analogue Productions have put out a hybrid SACD that only have the original stereo mix. They have a pre-order up for Close to the Edge and it's the same thing, a hybrid SACD with only the original stereo mix. So it looks like Atlantic has licensed the hi-rez out to them so I would not expect to see a competing physical release in the next couple of years.
The old Panegyric Blu-ray/CD set is still available at Amazon for $33. It obviously doesn't have the new Steven Wilson mix, but does have the old Steven Wilson surround mix. Hard for me to believe the "new Steven Wilson mix" will be some type of ground-breaking revelation as he knew what he was doing when he did the previous 5.1 mix about 13 years ago.
I see HD Tracks has a 192kHz · 24bit version of Fragile up for $47.48...with the Close To the Edge super-deluxe having an extra CD worth of material, it seems pretty likely a legal download will run at least that much of not a bit more. I haven't seen a legal download offering just the Wilson mixes at a reduced price, but I don't shop the download market, so there may be one out there somewhere.
It's been years since I listened to the old Panegyric Blu-ray, but I remember being happy with it. Just grabbed the copy off the shelf and the Blu-ray has- 2013 Steven Wilson stereo mixes - 24/96 LPCM Steven Wilson 5.1 Surround Mixes - 24/96 LPCM / dts hd 24/48 Original Stereo Mixes - flat transfer from original master - 24/192 LPCM America - 5.1 Surround Mix, 2013 Stereo Mix, Original Mix Alternate Album - 24/96 LPCM (rough mix, alternate version, studio run-through) Single Versions and edits - 24/192 LPCM 2013 Stereo Instrumental Mixes 24/96 LPCM (includes America, not on DVD-A version) UK Vinyl Transfer - 24/96 LPCM (not on DVD-A version)

I have the Panegyric am just hoping for the new mix. A 96/24 dl would be fine. I don't feel that they've gotten the eq right on this one yet, especially on digital.

I previously bought the super deluxe editions of The Yes Album and Fragile the week of release after finding them at a pretty good price compared to Amazon's initial price. I decided to wait for the price of the Close To The Edge set to drop after tomorrow's release date. For anyone who waited on the previous box sets, what price range should I be looking for? I don't know how low they dropped, but I'm thinking $60-$70 would work for me.

I think The Yes Album got all the way down to just over $50 at one point. I don't remember seeing Fragile drop lower than the low 60's. It seems pretty reasonable to wait for this set to get into the $60-$70 window. Since this one has one more disc than the other two, I'll probably pull the trigger as soon as it see it drop under $70.

Thanks for the feedback. Good to know I'll likely get it in my desired price range eventually. Not sure I'll want to wait until Black Friday but maybe it'll come down by the summer.

All I want is the new Wilson remix on SACD or dvd-a. I shouldn't have to buy a bunch of vinyl that I'll never play. I've already bought this album at least 5 times.
