Rest well, sir. I was hoping that Zacherley would make it to another October 31st. He had made a convention appearance with "Looney" Skip Rooney last Halloween: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=94723

He was also one of the folks in the collage on Zappa's We're Only In It For the Money. He is pictured right above Zappa's head.

I loved him when I was kid (and adult if I permitted to admit). Zach was a unique character. God Bless him, 98. Wow. RIP and Thanks for all the fun.

He was once an emcee at Fillmore East before a Dead show. Preserved for posterity on DP4

He was also a NY area DJ at one point on WNEW.
In late 1992, Zacherle joined the staff of "K-Rock," WXRK-FM, at a time when the roster included other free-form radio luminaries such as Vin Scelsa (with whom he'd worked at WPLJ) and Meg Griffin. However, in January 1996, the station switched to an alternative rock format and hired all new jocks.
