Thanks to a concert shown on yet another PBS pledge drive, I just discovered this guy.
Holy crap!! What a guitar player!!
Anyone else familiar with him that can give me recomended listening??

I'm not familiar enough w/his catalog to do that, but I will recommend that you rent "Tom Dowd & the Language of Music". Dowd was a music producer, and there's a segment of the film where he works with a very young Bonamassa.
I assume the PBS thing was the Albert Hall DVD, which is awesome.

Well, you could listen to or buy the debut from the supergroup Black Country Communion next week too which he is part of along with Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian. http://www.bccommunion.com/Bonamassa has been kicking ass for a loooong time, it's only just now he's getting his due. His new album Black Rock made the Top 40 earlier this year.

I preordered the Black Country Communion cd/dvd , I am really looking forward to it . Bonamassa has put out some very good albums in his 10 year or so career.
