There will be an exclusive David Bowie live release for RSD 2025 - CD and vinyl.
Quote:
On 8th September, 2003, Bowie made history at Riverside Studios in London, with the biggest ever live and interactive music satellite event the world had seen to that point. The special one-off live concert was beamed simultaneously to fans in 86 cinemas in 26 countries. Bowie and his band unveiled the first-ever live performance of his new album REALITY. Now, for the first time, the eleven- song main set plus three previously unreleased tracks from the encore are being released.

A Special surprise for all Jethro Tull fans. The next Record Store Day (4/12/2025) Rhino will release Songs From The Vault (1975/1978), a 2 LP set containing rarities and out-takes from the recording sessions which produced the albums Minstrel In The Gallery, Too Old To Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young To Die!, Songs From The Wood and Heavy Horses, the majority of which have not previously appeared on vinyl.

If I had a million thumbs I'd twiddle, twiddle. But I just have two.
I swung by my local indie this evening, and scored a copy of the live Bowie cd, which was the only thing I wanted. The store also gave me a nice RSD reusable shopping bag, which was unexpected given my small purchase.
Managed to snag a copy of Talking Heads Live on Tour '78. Given that this LP plays at 45 RPM and I have a manual turntable that means I have to remove the platter and adjust the belt to convert from 33.3. to 45, I will probably get a copy of the CD version too for more convenient play.
I got five things on my list. Didn't get a whiff of the Bowie CD or the Black Stone Cherry CD, although I saw both titles on vinyl. Gonna give those a shot online.
I did get the Elton John, Mark Knopfler, Doors, Queen, and Geddy Lee. And I'll settle for the Bowie vinyl if I have to, but I'm hoping not.
Held off on the Judas Priest. Also thinking about the Todd Rundgren live and maybe Alan Parsons, but they're very low priority.
The feel good highlight of the day was a girl a couple ahead of me at my first stop. She wanted the Taylor Swift single, but they were gone. The guy at the store said, "Give me a sec." Disappeared up to the front of the store, came back a few minutes later w/the single - they had a strict limit of one copy per title and someone tried to buy two. So she got her copy after all.

Check your private messages. Sent you a potential source for the Bowie cd.

I never left the house. Well, I did later in the day to go see the Golden Knights.
I went to my local store in the afternoon after the smoke cleared. Walked out with the Yes, Freddie Hubbard, Tull, and Sabbath LPs, then ordered Kenny Dorham and Motorhead off discogs last night. Good day tho Mrs. DFT hid LPs until Father's Day. Discovered the Joni Mitchell/LA Express live archive release which I completely missed. May have to get that in future as I'm a huge LA Express fan.
