I don't know whether I've got enough of this for an entire thread, but Beachy's recent terzanelles got me thinking about a set of lyrics I recently wrote for a children's show. This song was rejected and I had to start from scratch, so now I'm not sure exactly what I'll do with this piece. I think it's kind of a cute little children's poem in its own right though.
The Baker and the Terrier by Jason Powell (of Doot-upon-Ocean)
She went out to the woods one night With only a pet carrier. They loved each other at first sight, The baker and the terrier!
And once she brought him home, he knew He never would forsake her. His wagging tail said "I love you!" The terrier and the baker!
He was a hairy puppy and As he grew, he grew hairier! But she just loved him -- ev'ry strand! The baker and the terrier!
He'd bark at her at break of day In order to awake her. And then the two of them would play. The terrier and the baker!
She was the merriest of gals, But this dog made her merrier! The two of them were best of pals, The baker and the terrier!
He'd run all o'er her property, Exploring ev'ry acre! This pair were quite the sight to see, The terrier and the baker!
He loved her berry cake, therefore She made it even berry-er! He'd scarf it, then beg her for more. The baker and the terrier!
He was so glad, this hungry pup, That she was a food-maker. He ate each morsel she cooked up. The terrier and the baker!
When humans have a pet they love, Between them there's no barrier. And that's the lovely moral of "The Baker and the Terrier!"

I suggest it be about ten pages of water-colored art and your stanzas. Children's book that kids and adults will both enjoying reading. Thanks! Also, that's a cool idea! I'll have to look into how that can be done.

I added some more stanzas, to get it closer to children's-book-length.
The Baker and Terrier She went out to the woods one night With only a pet carrier.
He'd run all over the property, Exploring every acre! This pair were quite the sight to see, The terrier and the baker!
His doghouse would get stuffy, so She built one that was airier! Her kindness toward him made him glow, The baker and the terrier!
She had to scold him now and then, When he was a rule-breaker ... But soon, the two were friends again, The terrier and the baker!
He loved her cherry pie, therefore She made it even cherry-er! He'd scarf it, then beg her for more. The baker and the terrier!
He was so glad, this hungry pup, That she was a food-maker. He ate each morsel she cooked up. The terrier and the baker!
When she was feeling ill, then to The doctor he would ferry her! It was the least that he could do! The baker and the terrier!
He was her most trusted friend And she was his caretaker! They loved each other to the end, The terrier and the baker!
When humans have a pet they love, Between them there's no barrier. And that's the lovely moral of ... "The Baker and the Terrier!"

I mean you could just do the children's book and make the interpretive dance an optional online thing...?

Well, perhaps they could be given instructions on how to perform the interpretive dance for themselves...as a kind of audience participation thing....?;)
