Awesome... or should I say Amazing? I find hands the hardest part of the body to draw so his skill here really impresses me.

Another artist who really excels at hands is "Lucky Luke" artist Morris. More cartoony, but just as personal and characteristic.

Ditko was the master not just at drawing hands, but USING hands in the art to enhance the effect. Ditko's characters seem to emote and to move the action with the placement of all those accentuated hand positions.

His digits stretch and fold
accuse and make remands
His hands are always bold
He's got Stevie Ditko hands
He'll give you his vision
You won't have to read Ayn Rand
His points: Objectivism
He's got Stevie Ditko hands

And he won't tease you
He may unease you
He won't bother to appease you
He's precocious
And he knows just what it
Takes to use pro brush
His inking has delicate command
He's got Stevie Ditko hands

You'll have what you've bought
Part of his demands:
He'll lay out and co-plot
He's got Stevie Ditko hands
He'll quit—move out on you
Leave cold your Spider-Man
And right out of the blue
He's got Stevie Ditko hands

He bestows you
When he blows you
Off your feet with the work he shows you
It's vivid and lush
And he know just what it
Takes to use to pro brush
All fan boys Think he's bland,
But he's got Stevie Ditko hands

And he won't tease you
He may unease you
He won't bother to appease you
He's precocious
And he knows just what it
Takes to use pro brush
His inking has delicate command
He's got Stevie Ditko hands

He won't tease you
He may unease you
He won't appease you
He's got Stevie Ditko hands

He bestows you
When he shows you
(fade)

That's a nice tribute, Beachy. Wonder if Kim Carnes ever read any Ditko?
