Nice to see Ditko getting some love.

This was such a WANderful series. In more need of a collection than most because of how the Speedball stories ended up being scattered all over the place -- in MCP, thrown into the backend of annuals, everywhere.

As a concept, Speedball is up there among Steve Ditko's greatest creations AFAIC, unsung even though the character has such unique, primal powers, with terrific visual effects that only Ditko could have pulled off.

Roger Stern's scripting was just right for this series and for Ditko. I wish you'd had the chance to do more work with him, Uncle Rog.
