Stern crafted definitive battles with the Juggernaut, the Vulture, and the Cobra & Mister Hyde -- devised a decidedly-different role for the Kingpin of Crime -- and wove the fan-favorite tales of "The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man," the 1st appearance of Monica Rambeau (a.k.a. The lovely Black Cat, Amy Powell, and Mary Jane Watson are all vying for our hero's undivided attention. So now that we have your attention, reserve your copy today, True Believer!

First I've heard about this ... assuming that it's true.

Omar has tended to be right in the past. Marvel seems to feed him advanced info.

Oh, I don't doubt that, Beachy. It's just so unexpected ... what with Marvel Masterworks: The Amazing Spider-Man Volume 22 due out next month.

I guess we'll see how many people double-dip.

I saw a lot of people happy to see it coming back into print on the Masterworks board, so maybe they'll double,
even triple up on the books. I'm guessing that the Masterworked pages have probably improved on the restoration,
so maybe that also means that the Omnibus gets an upgrade with the reprinting.

Personally, I'm not a fan of most of the creator-centric Omnibus collections (no offense); I'd rather see more of the
sequential Bronze-Age Amazing Spider-Man (at al) Omnibus volumes.

A TRUE JUGGERNAUT: The Launch of Stern and Romita Jr.’s Powerful AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Run

Hey Web-Heads! Last time, we took a peek at writer Roger Stern’s oft-overlooked run on Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man, and showed how that served as basically a dry run for his later work on Amazing Spider-Man, which is, to many fans, a high water mark for the series and the character.
