Wednesday, May 11th, 2011That's not
just the release date for the new trade paperback release of SPIDER-MAN: HOBGOBLIN LIVES ... which collects your Uncle Rog's SPIDER-MAN: HOBGOBLIN LIVES miniseries and the Hobgoblin-versus-Norman-Osborn trilogy from PETER PARKER, THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #259-261 (which Uncle Rog co-plotted with Uncle Glenn Greenberg) ... all under a beautiful cover by John Romita Sr.

Oh, no, my friends!
That is also the date when
Morty Monkey makes his online debut as part of
Panels for Primates at ACT-I-VATE ... which you can access by clicking on
http://act-i-vate.com. Here's a sample:

Morty Monkey's artist/designer/co-creator/take-your-pick is Canadian animator
Caleb Hystad. Caleb's done everything from designing characters for Nintendo games to directing the award-winning
Raven Tales series. Plus, he draws some wonderfully wacky primates.
Panels for Primates, for those of you not in the know, is a weekly charity anthology of primate comics that has been updating with new material at ACT-I-VATE since October of 2010, all to benefit the Primate Rescue Center in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Like other ACT-I-VATE content, the ever-growing
PfP archive can be viewed
absolutely free. The big difference is that
Panels for Primates readers are encouraged to swing over to
http://www.primaterescue.org/and make a donation.
Panels for Primates will finish its online run on June 1st, with what
PfP mastermind Uncle Troy Wilson claims will be "a bang that's too big to mention just yet."
[Even Uncle Rog doesn't know what he means by that. But seeing as how Uncle Troy
conned convinced Uncle Rog to write this strip for free, we'd listen.]
So give Morty a try, won't you?
Vootie!
