Per a you tube video (username escapes me at the moment), it's looking like this year's Super Deluxe release will be a 30th anniversary version of Anthology.

From what the guy said, they're using the AI learning technology to remix "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love".

Personally, I find this disappointing.

I figured they were holding back a Rubber Soul deluxe until this year for the 60th anniversary, which to me, would make the most sense.

I don't really need upgrades or remixes of two songs that were mediocre posthumous collaborations. Sure, they may get a spiffy sonic upgrade, but they're not that great to begin with IMO, so...I dunno.

Well, I guess Apple would rather just remix peripheral stuff now rather than give a groundbreaking album its deluxe treatment.

I believe this release is a paperback, not going to be available in hardcover.

Well spotted, Jason. The original solicitation was for a hardcover -- I've updated the thread title to denote that this will actually be a softcover book.

Also, the cover image has been changed to match the box art for the 30th anniversary Anthology Collection 8CD set (which Chris is no doubt aware of by now):
