That one was a a strange journey of Frankensteining pictures of little girl limbs into the right position, then painting clothes on them, and running the result through an Anime version of Stable Diffusion. Then finding a model of a May Boy Tree from Totoro, and using the Anime AI again on a big plushy of Totoro that I had pasted onto that tree model. As I wanted the details of Shirley to show up, I went with a larger sized Shirley to sit next to him. And my white background has some off white in it as well, which I didn't see until later, so I cleaned it up afterwards. While doing that I tried it all against a Miyazaki animated cel background, but I wasn't pleased with it. It looked better with white behind it.

It's starting with the wrong picture. I didn't want them SITTING on a branch...I wanted them STANDING on a branch. The image of my first Totoro avatar had Totoro and Mei standing next to each other on a branch (it doesn't come up as often nowadays in image searches, but you can find it if you search for 'Totoro and Mei'). But Simon kept saying he was that avatar made him worry that the Totoro was going to eat the little girl... so I removed Mei... which he said confirmed his worries and that she had obviously been eaten.
I just wondered what the AI would come up with when asked for Totoro and little Shirley Temple standing on a branch. If the 'little' modifier on Shirley is not enough to cause a dusting size difference, it could be 'Giant Totoro and little Shirley Temple standing on a branch' But I wouldn't expect it to reproduce the original from that description. Nor was I expecting Shirley to come out in anime style.

Well, I’m late to this party… Some of them made me lol, especially the nightmarish ones from the first page.

Yeah, the first ones were rather primal, first weird thoughts that came to mind as goofy fun shit for Shirley Temple to have done. I actually favor the ones where AI makes humans look bizarre… I don’t know why but they make me laugh. I’ve made some of grandma getting her freak on (juggling cats and what not).

1903: At the Brown & Bigelow Poker Rooms, Big Cassius has just "gone all in." Eddie and L'il Marc hold their collective dog breaths wondering if young Miss Temple will call. Bright eyes smiling behind five cards, Shirley pushes in chips and whistles, "Here, Boy!"

1931: Albert Einstein assures high-roller Shirley Temple that the universe follows a set of rules that are not subject to randomness or chance. "It's all deterministic and predictable. For example," he says, "even in Los Vegas, a simple ham and cheese sandwich with a cup of coffee or tea makes for a good lunch." "Especially," Shirley adds, "if said meal is complimentary."

1973: In Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Shirley Temple and her friend Madge, join Gary Gygax, Dave Arneson, and Jeff Perren in play testing a new hybrid of Gygax and Perren's miniatures wargame, Chainmail, and Arneson's fantasy campaign setting, Blackmoor.

1975: Inspired by her experiences at Gen Con, Shirley Temple releases her own fantasy-role playing game, SHNLLRLY CHNE-GOIVER, which is soon joined by the expansion set, GIBIELLA DDENELL. Shirley cites that she used advanced computer algorithms to generate the fantasy names.

1996: For Show and Tell, Shirley Temple lays out a convincing argument to her class that modern day chickens, such as Prissy here, are descendent from non-avian dinosaurs, like this toothless theropod. But when Ganzhou licks Shirley's cheek, everyone stops listening to the lecture and laughs.
