2010 UK 11-track CD album - Pin Me Down is a musical collaboration between Bloc Party guitarist Russell Lissack and vocalist Milena Mepris [formerly of the electro-punk band Black Moustache]. The pair met several years ago when Milena's old band supported Bloc Party in New York. Having discovered a shared love of guitars and 80s artists such as Kate Bush, Cyndi Lauper and New Order the pair decided to explore new frontiers together. Pin Me Down fuse energetic pop melodies with razor-sharp guitar sounds - creating 'apocalyptic pop' as Mépris likes to call it. Their eponymously titled debut album was recorded by Alex Elena and Daniel Lingren in London and New York throughout the course of 2009, and includes the single, 'Treasure Hunter'.

Bloc Party's Russell Lissack has geared up his side project Pin Me Down again – offering a free new song online.

The guitarist, who is joined in the band by US singer Milena Mepri, has made new song 'Time Crisis' available as a free download from the band's official website, http://www.pinmedown.net.

The duo have also suggested that they are set for more action in 2010, writing that they were "starting it [the year] off with a bang and klang" by releasing the song.

Bloc Party are currently on hiatus, with frontman Kele Okereke reportedly working on a solo album.

Bloc Party guitarist Russell Lissack's side-project Pin Me Down are set to release their debut album next month.

Pin Me Down comprises Lissack plus US singer-songwriter Milena Mepri, and the pair's self-titled album is set to come out on April 19.

The album was recorded last year by producers Alex Elena and Daniel Lingren in London and New York.
