Mr. Stern -

Hello. Can you tell us about your experiences with writing Hulk vs Superman?

Thanks!

Yes, one of the best crossovers to date, easily.

Oh, gosh, yes! I wuz just thinking about this crossover, as I had recently reread it. Rude did a terrific interpretation, and the story wuz tee-riffic-a-moso!

I thought the combination of Stern and Rude was really dead-on. I'd love to see a Superman mini by this team.

Thanks, all!

There are days when I think that I should have left the bidness after finishing Hulk vs Superman and Avengers #1 1/2.

That was an excellent book. My only disappointment with it was that it wasn't printed "Tabloid" sized (a la Superman and the Fantastic Four or the first two Superman and Spider Man books).

One of my favorite Marvel/DC cross-over comics. I still own my copy.

Me too!! That would have been awesome!

It is a shame Rude can't draw any faster. He would be my number one choice for a Earth 2 Superman ar in my dream Earth 2 manga sized comic.

Those should be clues to editors that you can write really great stories for a modern audience. I really wish they'd give you a go on a big title for a year, without making you write for the trade or anything.

I think he can draw plenty fast enough, or at least fast enough to meet monthly deadlines. I found out through here that he suffers from depression and that is why his work is sporadic. I agree with you though, he draws my favorite Superman hands down. I think one of the reasons I like Darwyn Cooke so much is that his work reminds me of Rude.

Cooke is good but he's no Rude, who's art is so clean.

Naah I like Cooke a lot, I really dug his Catwoman which surprised me as I never though I could enjoy a Catwoman solo series.

And as for modern guys, I dig Steve Epting and Jim Cheung.

Epting is the bomb, for sure. :ohyes:

Hey Roger, which modern artists do you like in particular? Which writers?
