See what happens when you ink with a brush or brush pen. I think you may like the results based on your digital work.

Hey, if anyone wants to give inking that Aquaman a shot, let me know and I'll hook you up with a higher rez pic. Or better yet, overlay an anatomy fix so I can see where I screwed up

Just saw your Aquaman over at The Outcast. Pretty good overall, Some thoughts, it could use some more curve to the body. Right now he looks stiff. His pelvis area could use some more roundness as it looks flat now.

Cool stuff Trevor. I agree with Hanzo, try inking with a brush, or maybe a brush pen. I've been using the same pentel brush pen for some 20 years, and just love it (even when it's a little scary!).

Ran out of time on a speed drawing thingie. Drawing '90s superheroes doesn't seem to come natural to me for some reason.

Is David Mazzacchelli one of your influences? Oh man, that stuff is hard to look at now! All I see is mistake after mistake after mistake! Mazzacchelli's not really an influence on me, although I like his stuff a lot. My guys (especially around the time this was drawn) were Ditko, Eisner and Toth. I see a lot of Toth in Mazzacchelli, so maybe that's the link? This was all drawn digitally using a trial version of Manga Studio EX 3.0 and an old Wacom tablet. I'd asked Eric if he would mind if I tried my hand a horror plot he'd sent me one time, just for fun and practice. He said someone else was drawing it suggested he had a swashbuckling fairy tale story instead, and he'd use it in Pitched 2. And that's how I became the worst artist in Pitched history. Since I don't have any drawing chops, I tried my best to make every panel at least look interesting (as far as my skills allowed). Here's the first three pages sans letters, so you can see even more mistakes.

I am happy with the bottom middle panel on page 3 though. I think it is my favorite panel in the whole story.
