I order on Saturdays from Midtown Comics and they usually ship on Tuesday nights, so I have the books on Wednesday, Thursday at the latest. Also, they offer discounted books and free bags and boards, which is pretty much offset by shipping costs (not that i pay for any of it myself... yes, you can hate me).

DC properties are next to impossible to get from WB.

Is it like a business/research expense?

Astonishing X-Men #4: The last three pages made me positively giddy.
Doom Patrol #3: Have't read it yet. Could be strike three, or JB could have hit it out of the park... I'll get back to you on this one.
The Flash #213: Geoff Johns.
Bart Simpson Comics #19: Gotta have my Simpsons.
Savage Dragon: God War #1: Robert Kirkman (My shop didn't get any copies of SuperPatriot this week and I'm steamed.)
Conan #7: Crom!
Superman #208: Why am I reading this again? Oh yeah, Jim Lee.

that's quite sad. why not give options, to other companies they don't seem to be doing a whole lot with the DC properties.

Astonishing X-Men #4. It made me as giddy as a schoolgirl. If one could hug a comic book, this one would've gotten a big ol' embrace.
Ultimate Elektra #1. I love Mike Carey but don't care much for the Elektra character. This was good though. I hope Marvel showers him with work.
Ultimate Fantastic Four #10. This is a very fun title. Who would've thought Ellis could write such a fun book?
Amazing Spider-Man #511. The art was gorgeous, the story itself still seems to be flirting with really bad ideas.
Silver Surfer #12. It felt a bit like the writers were rushing to finish a longer story before the final issue, but this was another excellent issue.
We3 #1: Perfect.
I also bought Previews.

Not sure. I think they'd feel stupid if, say, Paramount did GREEN LANTERN and made a bazillion dollars.

i read a few issues last night...
Doom Patrol Vol 4 #3 (enjoyable issue; looking forward to a good arch-enemy for the DP though)
Fierce #2 (very good 2nd issue... the series is kind of like BOURNE IDENTITY, in a good way)
Ojo #1 (not all that impressive... very little actual story)
X-Statix #26 (a very satsifying and not altogether surprising last issue)

But at the same time, if they license it properly the cut they get of that bazillion is free money and the anciliaries would be another bazillion all theirs.

You're right. The real answer: WB is dumb. Just like Paramount for letting Rick Berman run STAR TREK into the ground.
