Apparently, relations between Ferguson and Letterman and/or CBS have become strained, which may explain why Ferguson didn't get the 11:35 spot.

I wouldn't want Craig to alter his show, so I'm kinda relieved he didn't get it.

Ferguson.

The only change needed is more musical openings.

I haven't been watching but did see a few minutes last week. He was interviewing some guy I never heard of and it was a serious political conversation. If that's what he's doing on Late Night, you're probably right.

Seth Meyers doesn't seem to have the energy needed that Ferguson brings to the table in that timeslot. But, the age difference and notoriety will give Meyers and undeserved leg up. No clear winner.

The best thing that Meyers has going for him is Fred Armisen, but every time that I turn to the show Armisen isn't there.

The few interviews that I've seen Meyers do, he was close friends with the interviewees and they had way too many in-jokes.

I think he'll do well, but I think he's going to rely heavily on the SNL alumni keeping him afloat.

The former CBS exec who did Craig's last contract said today that Craig had told the network a while ago that he didn't want the gig.
