Analogue Productions announced new SACDs and LPs for the Steely Dan catalog today. Pre-orders are now being taken at the AP site. Can't Buy A Thrill will be available on November 4th.

It's a pity that the early releases never got the 5.1 treatment. Elliot Scheiner supposedly had all of the multi track masters in his possession and it never got the green light.

I'm really excited about the 1st 5 on APO SACD. $35 a crack is pushing my budget, though.

I was under the impression that with the exception of Aja (because the multitracks for two of the tracks were missing), that the 5.1 SACDs had been prepped and ready for release in 2003.

But then, the major labels were backing off on SACD and we never saw them.
