And whats really weird about it is its NOT the shop I get my comics from...

The guy is giving me free reign as to what to do with the place... their comic sales have been in the gutter since they lost their "comic" guy 6 months ago... they're surviving on gaming merchandise...

I walked in there Friday and the owners wife asked how my job was going... I told her I wasnt working, I was being Mr. Mom and inking while the kids were in school... her eyes light up and we talked for a while and she told me her husband would call me.

Monday night, he finally did... asked me to go in this morning and chat with him, which ended up being almost 3 hours.

Best part is I get my hourly wage, but at the end of every month, they figure how much comic revenue they did compare it to what they made the three months before I was there, and I get a cut of anything over that amount!

Im so excited!

If you're ever in Lafayette, Louisiana... stop by ...And Books Too and say hi!

Jeffery

Coincidentally, Darren, I was talking to my retailer's wife at the comic store today about their website. They want to sell more items online, and I mentioned that I knew some HeroClix fans. (They have tournaments every weekend at the store.) She asked me to tell you that they do sell singles. :)

Cool. I will link their site, over in the HeroCLix discussion area, as well. Tell you what, email me, and we can discuss other possibilities. Also, give their "envoy" the url to the Clix site; I'd love to have more discussion about their events and different strategies, whatnot.

Hmm, do folks still play Overpower? With the Marvel and DC Vs. Drive, I would've thought most card-players had switched over...
Why don't you open a thread over in HeroClix about the game, much like the "newbies" thread for HeroClix, and explain some of the basics?

I may do just that.
And yes, some of us die-hards still do play
