works but what is the "thing" just about half way up his arm, can't make it out, also it's distracting to the eye.

Good spot, Hector. I think that's the ammo clip for the gun that Rick forgot to erase :D

But if I juxtapose both images, I'm not so sure.

Also, I would keep the web strand in the original.

It's such a cliche pose. I should have listened to my teeny inner voice about the gun. I certainly would have drawn another figure and built around that. Impossible now without drawing the whole thing again. I actually broke down and tried it.

Feh.

So I guess I'm stuck with it.

I had to move the moon over to compensate for the lack of gun.

your losing the silhouette I suggest moving the moon back...

also lose the belt...

the figure without the gun is working fine...

up to you tho...

Just change the strand to look more strandy.

Naw, I can't unsee it now. If it's not looking like a cane, it's looking like a whip or a candycane. It's out.

I'm going with Hector saying the figure is fine. I'm going to cling to that. :D

Hell, yes, I'm using layers (Photoshop). That's why I said thank God for digital art. I can change all this stuff without a nervous breakdown.

But I think it's a great composition, by the way! Really striking and 'noir.'
