I can finally talk more openly about my work on the sequel to MARVELS.

And I did...starting here: http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories ... _Pt~dot~_1

Yes, it's an upcoming project...the sequel to Marvels. You know, like Roger said in his post. :P

Quote:
Come December, Kurt Busiek and Jay Anacleto begin rediscovering the modern legends of the Marvel Universe in the long-awaited MARVELS: EYE OF THE CAMERA. By January, they'll be joined by a modern legend themselves.

Roger Stern will join Busiek as co-writer of EYE OF THE CAMERA starting with issue #3. After writing nearly every major character in the Marvel pantheon including acclaimed runs on CAPTAIN AMERICA and AVENGERS, Stern presents a no-brainer choice to help craft a series that explores the 70's and 80's stories of Marvel through the eyes of photojournalist Phil Sheldon. To get the full scoop, we caught Stern and Busiek as well as Marvel Executive Editor Tom Brevoort for an extended two-part discussion covering everything from the story behind the story to the secrets fans will see in the pages of the series.

One wonders what color the sky is in Jeff's world.

But more importantly, congrats to Uncle Rog - I'm really looking forward to this.

You need to be EIC at Marvel. I have said this over and over again since the early 90s. And you are the best Spider-Man writer since early Lee.

Thanks, but I'd give that nod to Tom DeFalco.

(But I do appreciate the thought.)

How come he's got a lens over his eyepatch? Force of habit? It would look odd without one?

If I had one eye I'd wear a monocle, just because. :)

An eye patch AND a monocle!?! Why didn't I think of that? TOO COOL!

I finished my top-secret Monkey script yesterday, so I thought I'd take a breather this morning and check in with you incredible IMWANers before leaping back into the fray.

And this looks like the appropriate place to mention that there's a small article about Yours Truly and the Eye of the Camera miniseries on the Marvel boards at...

(Who knows, maybe they'll even start listing my name in the solicitations.)

Now on sale...
Image

My name was left off the cover ...but not (fortunately) the credits on Page One.

If you haven't gotten your copy yet, you might want to hurry. I just managed to get the last color copy in the store...along with a really neat Black-&-White Variant.

Dang. I was so busy at work this week, that I didn't get a chance to buy.
Hopefuly there will still be a copy on Tuesday. (I bought the issues before
this—so I wouldn't be lost when Uncle Rog's issues came out. I'm waiting
to read them all as a set.
