I enjoyed Dick's work on Freedom Fighters in the 70's. While Jack Abel could be an overpowering inker, I thought he complemented Dick's pencils really well. The one issue inked by "Christian Volt" (looked like Alcala or another Filipino inker - very dark inking for a superhero book in those days) was enlightening, because I got to figure out his art style better. I got to meet him once or twice at conventions, and he seemed like the nice kind of guy that you'd want drawing your childhood comic books. (Not all of them are, you know.  )
