I have the vinyl which was one of those half-speed masters and it sounds amazing.

This is something about Legacy Records that has been driving me nuts...

They have major artists like Journey, Santana, Jeff Beck, Ozzy Osbourne and Aerosmith and haven't done a Complete Albums Box set for any of them!

They have done a great job with Blue Oyster Cult, Cheap Trick, Weather Report, Kansas, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Judas Priest, etc.

I'm not sure who has to sign off on what, but a Journey box would do damn good business.

They could include new remasters for Journey, Look Into The Future and Next and include the previous ones for Infinity, Evolution, Departure, Captured, Escape, Frontiers, Raised On Radio and Trial By Fire and also do a new remaster for Greatest Hits Live, Arrival and The 1981 Escape Tour as well as Dream, After Dream.

They could also include a disc of rare tracks from the Time 3 box and radio concerts and other goodies.

Why haven't they???

As would Aerosmith. Their stuff hasn't had a remaster since '94, save for compilations.

They're waiting until we get to our 80th birthdays before that happens.

What is the thinking that an album is worthy of half-speed master vinyl release but unworthy of a CD release at all? At the same time that every single Santana release and all the Herbie Hancock albums (both of the same label as Journey if I recall correctly) have been released on CD? It's not like Journey was a one-hit wonder. I don't get it.

No, because that was Sony Japan and Lotus, the Santana album which was only in Japan, came out in the US as well from CBS here in the States.

Plus, the LP was issued here.

My idea for a box set should be a no-brainer.

I believe a domestic US release was out for a while in the late 90s. But I think it quietly went out of print after a time.

I thought mine was USA; just checked & it is Japanese. I'm pretty sure the vinyl came out significantly earlier in Japan then in the USA, also.

Nice & very unique album for Journey. I've owned a copy first in vinyl, then in cd for many years.

I'm sure this West German pressing was meant for the U.S. market.

Mine was printed in Canada, but has a different CD face design.
