What's wrong with you people, not seeing "kids movies" just because you're adults?

I mean Pixar/Disney stuff that's truly all ages, not strict kiddie fare. My friends and I went to all the animated Disney movies in the 90s as adults, because they were good. I (and my kids) still go to all the Pixar movies even though they are grown. There is no age cutoff on good entertainment, IMO.

It's just not something I would ever fool with. It's like moving a mountain to get a trip to the theater scheduled. When the kids were young, they had no other things going on, and we made a family event out of going. Now it just doesn't happen -- I don't even see movies that are just for me much. So I'm really lamenting the "rhythm" of parenting when the big Pixar's and other event movies came out.

Maybe my kids will wax nostalgic and want to go to Toy Story 4.

I was more referring to when you were older, but before kids, or those with adult kids. Earlier posts seemed like many of you didn't/don't see all ages type entertainment (animated movies specifically) because a)no kids or b)not kid.

I didn't. It didn't even cross my mind. Never saw Lion King to this day. Didn't see Toy Story 2 until years later. I've never seen a Bug's Life to this day. I haven't seen Incredibles 2.

It's just not a habit I'm in.

The first movie my son ever saw in the theater was Lion King, the second was Toy Story. He is now 26.
The three movies he was looking forward to most this summer are, Toy Story 4, Lion King, and Spider-Man.
He just texted me that he has bought us tickets for Sunday.

Went to see it with the whole family -- kids who grew up on the Toy Story series. Excellent. I was kind of weepy at about 5 or 6 times in the movie.

It would never occur to me to go to the cinema to see a kids movie without my kids. I would (and do) watch them if they happened to be on TV and I had the time, but haul my ass to a movie theatre for them?

My wife and I went to see this Saturday. Great story. I got choked up at the end, but I loved the way they did things. The advances in the animation details from the first movie to this are stunning - the humans are done much better than in the past. Michael-Keegan Key and Jordan Peele had me in tears - I'd love to see outtakes from their recording sessions. I'll gladly plop down my money when this is released on home video.

Enjoyed this one;funny and touching.Even so,I hope this is the final installment:I think this franchise about kid's toys is just about played out.
This film did give us Keanu Reeves' best performance ever.
