The Heroes Union #1 hits comic shops on August 4th but it never would have happened without this forum! I’m the publisher and deciding to hire Roger Stern to write it was the easy part. Figuring out how to offer him the job is where things got tricky. Thankfully, google and this forum and its wonderful admin stepped in to fill in the missing pieces and make the creative connection.

I hope you all enjoy The Heroes Union #1. No less than Roy Thomas praised it saying, “It’s time for comics to be fun again — and that’s just what Heroes Union provides, in spades.” Roger Stern is an incredibly skilled writer and fun collaborator and anything you may find lacking in the finished product will be entirely my fault. I’m also happy to announce that Roger has already completed the plot for his follow up story which should be out late next year.

One last thing, please don’t assume you can just walk into to your local comic shop and buy The Heroes Union on release day. Unfortunately, many comic shops can’t, won’t or don’t stock independent comics on their shelves unless at least one customer takes the time and trouble to preorder it. The link below has all the info you need to pass along to your retailer to get your individually-numbered copy set aside for you. And if you don’t have a local shop, there are online mail order shops that can hook you up too. The preorder deadline is next week so don’t miss out on the fun.
