i am in the zone of entirety, or whatever the fuck its called.
i will set my alarm to wake me from my afternoon nap and go into the back yard to view this, i remember the last one.......kind of uneventful, i must say.
but is ALL OVER the local news and even mentioned on the national news.
hotels and motels in ohio are charging sinfully exorbitant prices with mandatory 3 and 4 day stays. why is everything about money?

There will be totality here from 3:04-3:08, and partial for an approx.hour before and after,
Schools, the university, doctors' offices, many businesses are closed.
We're supposed to have 300,000 people (aka nuts) pile into town that usually holds just under 100K.
I have my glasses, hopefully they're authentic. I did buy others on Amazon but sent them back when they weren't listed on the American Astronomical Society site- https://eclipse.aas.org/eye-safety/viewers-filters
We're supposed to have the eclipse here at it's peak (95.9% magnitude) around 3:23 EDT, with partial for an hour before and after. I didn't bother with glasses. I'm not looking at the sun. Schools are closed here.

It just passed it's peak here for me; got about as dark as 8:30 twilight in June, and is now lightening up. neat, but i've seen it get darker with impending thunderstorms

Yes, it was over hyped and under delivered.

We went down to Jones Beach and despite some high clouds, we could clearly see the Moon as it covered quite a bit of the Sun. Got damn cold down there suddenly.

We had over four minutes of totality in Midlothian, Texas. Otherworldly beauty, with the corona hanging high in the sky. There were clouds around our location, especially to the south which made this the darkest total eclipse I've seen. And the eerily-lit clouds around the eclipse were great… but the nail-biting that came before, not knowing if the eclipse was going to happen in a clear spot, was not fun.

Nothing but clouds and rain up here in the PNW, but we weren’t in the path of totality anyways. I look forward to all the pics from my photographer buddies, some of whom traveled to get their shots.
