https://godzilla.com/products/godzilla- ... rs-editionCertainly not a perfect set as the minus color version is not on a 4K disc and there are no English subtitles for the bonus features. However, this is the first release that I know of where English subtitles are there for the color and minus color films. Same packaging as the Japanese deluxe version (the minus color version was also on a regular Blu-ray in Japan). Reviews of the Japanese disks plus packaging where very, very good. Still pretty pricey. Most of the time we could expect a cheaper, stripped-down version right around the corner. But since this is Toho, who knows when that might happen?

I was just coming on to let folks know about this offer. I agree re the sans 4K for minus color. I found minus color to be even (slightly) more impressive than the color. And a bummer re the bonus material. BUT...had to get this. One of the best movies of last year (and I am not a All Things Godzilla...aka I just had to stop watching Godzilla x Kong after a pretty brief period of time). Yeah Toho is strange on how it releases in US. I mean, one can not locate Shin Godzilla. I personally do not expect a stripped down version (particularly re Minus Color).

Does this store ship from the U.S. or Japan?
I finally watched this movie last week and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I'm really interested in seeing the Minus Color version.

My question about where they ship from is irrelevant. I discovered they do ship from the U.S. (Good, and what I was hoping for!), and that they only ship within the U.S. (bad, as I live in Canada, which I discovered, much to my dismay, is NOT in the U.S.!).
Oh well, I'll hold out hope there will be a North American release in the not-too-distant future.

Shipping price is $8. It also says that orders within the USA should arrive 5-8 days after the order is shipped. So it probably is a good bet that it will be shipped from somewhere within the USA. That was actually my biggest apprehension in buying this set. If it was $18 shipping from Japan, I would know for a fact that it would be packaged properly in a box and would reach me in pristine condition. From within the USA, pretty much a guarantee that it will come in a bubble mailer and if I am lucky it will only mean one dinged up corner instead of being completely trashed. I was really intrigued by the website as it looks like Toho themselves is behind it. It would be just great if Toho started putting out some high-end products and selling them directly to the American market, although I'd run the risk of landing in the poor-house. Kurosawa 4K 30-film boxset is the thing that dreams are made of (which from Toho would likely carry a $750-$1000 price-tag).

That's right USA companies (I'm talking about you Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc), you guys do an absolute shit job in packing orders for delivery...absolute shit. I was really intrigued by the website as it looks like Toho themselves is behind it. Unfortunately, as I posted minutes before you posted, I found out they don't ship outside the U.S. so my wait continues.

Got it and watched it last night. Damn good film, I went in with high expectations and it did not disappoint.
Also, shipped in a box and well packed...so arrived in mint condition.
This last weekend I watched the Godzilla/Kong New Empire film and what an absolute abomination that turd of a film was.

For anyone who missed it the first time around, the deluxe is getting another limited run and is back up for pre-order on the Godzilla site. The regular version versions of the 4K and Blu-ray have been released, but they only have the color version. I think this deluxe set is still the only place that you can get the minus color version with English subtitles.
