Barrage and Brass are awesome.
I'm not a big fan, but Ark Nova has become the Terraforming Mars killer in our group.

Takes too long, imo. I feel that way about TM too though - I play Ares Expedition, and now Earth which also has the same feel but half the time.

I've enjoyed Stone Age, Terraforming Mars, Ticket to Ride, Alhambra, Crew, Hive, Fury of Dracula, Hanabi, and a whole bunch others. I haven't played Brass or Barrage.

Stone Age is great. My wife is a big fan of Ticket to Ride. Of those you mention, I haven't played the Dracula one, but like all the others, although haven't played Hanabi, for example, in a long time.

I would like a board game thread where Nagoo, Evans, and Jay provide me with lists and reviews of all their favorite games, so I can look at them and maybe even purchayse some of them.
Right now my wife and I play the hell out of Carcassone, having the base anniversary edition and several expansion packs. With all that it takes up most of a large table in the basement to play, with all the tiles. We have but never could get into Ticket to Ride and a few other games, mostly card based (we do have Hive but haven't played it yet despite owning it for over a year lol). We need games for two or three at most because we have no board gaming friends apart from one.

Worst. Mod. Ever. I remember the thread well, although can't remember what I said in it or how up to date it is. To save you the pain of looking through it all, Jeff, fir two people I recommend: 7 Wonders Duel - a fabulous card drafting game with the ways to win and tension right from the beginning. Targi - the best 2 player worker placement game hat I know if, where you take resources and build a tableau to get points, but the "don't take my spot!" feeling is high. Patchwork - a deceptively relaxing polyomino game with a clever catch up mechanic. Paris:La Cite de la Lumiere (the best looking game on the list) with a similar feel to Carcassonne but with a greater depth of complexity Lost Cities - a wonderful card game with delicious decision making built in I sound like an advertiser presenting all these games I know, but these are genuinely all really great.

No cap Jaws 3D was the very first Jaws I remember ever seeing, so to this day its my second favorite one and I think it's a good movie. Plus is had the most gruesome death when the shark ate the guy in the red wetsuit whole.

The two-disc set will also be available in a less extravagant standard edition: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D5F3VH1Y/?tag=imwan-20 I liked Jaws 3 even though the production value was pretty mediocre. The story, I thought, was good. I mean, Jaws 3, Jurassic Park, and Westworld all have that "what if an amusement park became deadly" conceit, which I enjoy.

It is still insane to me that the real SeaWorld agreed to have a movie showing a great white shark attacking and killing people in their park.

From THR: Quote: Steven Soderbergh has opened up about a giant book on Jaws, the classic Steven Spielberg thriller he first saw in 1975, that he has been working on for nearly 15 years.
“I’ve been working on this thing [the book] that is ostensibly about directing and uses as its spine an analysis of the making of Jaws day-to-day,” Soderbergh revealed during an informal conversation at the Toronto Film Festival on Thursday.
Don’t expect his how-to Jaws tome to be sold at airports, however.
“This book is not for general consumption. This is for people who are interested in films, either as moviegoers or [who] want to do this job. Because if you’re going to do this job, you need to understand the job. This is the job,” Soderbergh said of his long-gestating passion project.
Do expect more than a scene-by-scene analysis of Jaws: “I’m going to walk you through the experience of making it as a jumping off point to talk about problem solving and process.”
The snag is that the book isn’t done and may never be completed, the Oscar-winning director warned. Writing about Jaws will get Soderbergh back to the first movie that had him thinking he could become a Hollywood director.
He recalled seeing Jaws at a cinema in St. Petersburg, Florida, at 12 years of age and emerging back into the real world with two questions: “What does directed by mean? And who is Steven Spielberg?”
Luckily, Soderbergh picked up The Jaws Log, a book by Carl Gottlieb about the action thriller that he pored over for lessons on how to problem-solve on a film set. “I carried this book around with me, it was like the Bible. I wore out many copies,” he recounted.

I'm not a movie guy, but I'm not sure I could name 3. I'm sure there will be lots of lists / talk over the next 3 weeks, but they changed the rules of the game. https://thescriptlab.com/blogs/35939-mo ... hollywood/

Scorsese. Although he was pretty contemporaneous with the three mentioned, I'd argue he was just as influential.
