Also it's wild that they're spacing things out so much. DR Part 1 was filmed during the pandemic (remember Cruise yelling at everyone on the set?) That plus the writer's strike has put years of delay on this. Reminds me of when 007: No Time to Die was shown in previews for months and months on end around 2020-21.

It's going to be a terrible day when that carefully-guarded magic portrait that Tom Cruise has hidden away finally gets damaged and he suddenly shows his true age.

One too few . . .
By my rough count, and based only on movies I have seen, this will be Tom Cruise's 30th good movie that he is the star of. One actor, 30 good movies. That's an incredible run that I don't think has ever been matched.

If I'm parsing this sentence correctly, you have already seen this movie, though it won't be released in theaters until May.
How did you swing that, you lucky dawg?
The salient point remains valid, though, and I've been thinking this ever since Minority Report, or thereabouts: a huge proportion of Cruise-starring movies are great, and he is great in them.

But at the time of Minority Report, he wasn't up to 30 movies yet.
