Plus they didn't adhere to the "no tights, no flights" rule that is so crucial to Superman being successful on TV.
I guess the actor was just too embarrassed not to wear the suit. Lame!

I don't think so. There are elements of that, but he's mostly a heroic inspirational character in the show. I think you'd enjoy their take if you watched it.

Any watch last night's Daredevil finale? Afterwards I put on the first episode of the old Punisher series. I thought I'd watch one or two episodes, but ended up watching four! Good stuff.

Without too much spoiler, does it wrap up in a way that the punisher is central?

That's what Gaiman's career is saying too, interestingly.

At this point, nothing else matters. Sad, but true.
Fade to black.

Well, that's one way to look at it. Can we turn the page now?

It's just going to be depressing to watch as shadows follow the unforgiven Gaiman for the rest of his career -- wherever he may roam. And it taints any future reread of Sandman, although I suppose, still, the memory remains.

He has a satisfying role in the episode and is the subject of the mid-credit scene.

Oddly, Punisher does not commit the most violent act in the episode.

He should assume a pseudonym and/or ghostwrite for a front man.
