Hey, my retailer did a "top five GNs" video on a YT comics show -- I think this shows why he's been such a successful retailer, he's always so upbeat and projects a "let's have fun" vibe.

Chip Kidd and Michael Cho's Avengers OGN arrived yesterday and if you like Silver Age Kirby, this is one not to be missed! The central conceit of the story is a bit "meh" for me but the art and overall aesthetic is wonderful.

Oh shoot, looks like Amazon had better preview images, I guess I didn't need to take photos, lol.

Amazon hasn't shipped my copy yet, but that looks great and I am looking forward to it. I really bought it for Cho's art, I've got a few other Chip Kidd-written books and he's fine, but not someone where I buy for his contribution. (Superlative graphic designer, though!)
This morning I did receive the latest volume of the Richard Corben Library, Rowlf and other Fantasy Stories. It also looks amazing.

"Panel Bound Comics" feels like it makes marginally more sense, at least. What's an "Organic Priced Book" even supposed to be?

The OGN looks like it does a great job of trying to capture the Silver Age spirit in its art.

Mediocre is being kind. Those are both terrible names. Are they a big retailer (or publisher? Hard to tell what they are from the names!)? I have never heard of them before.

Then you'll be very happy because this thing is jam-packed with monsters.

Only thing is, when I look at the picture of the giant two-headed monster, I can't help thinking that it looks like poor Ben Grimm got exposed to the Terrigen Mist or something.

Much like those titles like Avengers 1 and 1/2, I would buy the hell out of a regular title done in this style
and written with a a 60's sense of storytelling and heroics. Although it looks like way too many splash pages
and double-page spreads. The Amazon shots looks great but Hanzo's shot shows the reality of the art loss when
the book is actually put together. I really hate how the art looks when it's lost inside the binding like that.

Image’s Invisible Man came out this week.
Bought it have not read it yet.
I still haven’t finished reading the Mummy series.

I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the Dracula series, partly because I don't enjoy The Invisible Man as a monster on the same level as Dracula, but man, it's good to have Tynion back.

The Semi-Annual Taschen sale is now active.

https://www.taschen.com/en/collection/m ... s-library/

That is a pretty good price for the Silver Surfer book.

I'm out of the market for these, but it's interesting that the only two I'd be tempted by -- Hulk and X-Men -- aren't on sale.
