Boy, this is interesting. Most of the hate the new Superman movie gets comes from the Snyder Bros, but here's a different perspective from guys who didn't like Snyder's take but also don't seem to like the new film either -- Donner Bros, so to speak. ]
Got curious to see how Reeve would have looked in the new costume.
Trunks look odd; like the waist is too high. I guess that was the design though. They should take the too-low waist of the Superman Returns suit and the too-high waist of this one and meet in the middle. Then both costumes would look better. Follow me for more underwear on the outside tips.

I am still feeling queasy about FF -- the female Silver Surfer, the setting up of Sue as the real leader, and the unshakable feeling that the story is going to have that Earth getting destroyed.
I don't personally care, but I do think making the Silver Surfer female was a poor decision based on the current climate -- he's not an unknown character like Ajak from the Eternals, he's pretty well known and has a fanbase. It's enough to get the ball rolling on negative chatter, if nothing else.
If they wanted a female herald, they should have just used Nova.

You'll have to watch the movie to find out, true believer!
Do you think you'll ever watch it? I know I mailed you a MAN OF STEEL DVD (I opened my Blu-ray set and the empty DVD slot reminded me) and I don't think you ever got around to it?
From what I've seen, this version of Supergirl comes from the recent WOMAN OF TOMORROW book by Tom King, now available for only $10.
I'd love to know how this "compact" line of $10 books is doing for DC. This is the sort of thing I wish DC would have done ages ago but never thought it'd be financially feasible to give away this much material for $10 (for example, the entire All Star Superman mini -- 12 issues -- is available for $10).
I don't much care for this character version of Supergirl. We seem to have completely ignored the importance of heroes labeled "super" setting an example for young people.

That ship has sailed when Superman as Clark Kent is selling fake interviews with himself. The movie made it sound like the problem was cheating by knowing questions in advance, as opposed to outright deceit of the public and his editors that would be deservedly career-ending if exposed, and actually quote sinister considering it’s Superman. Drunk Supergirl is a better role model for kids than Sleazy Journalist Superman.

I haven't read it, but my assumption is that it will be a redemption story -- she hits rock bottom due to the trauma of losing her entire family, then finds new purpose and a reason to continue on by becoming a hero.

Yeah, I just sorta ignore it because it's been canon for a while, but I wish Clark Kent was a reporter for a different beat than whatever beat Superman news is part of. Sports, Entertainment, Arts, whatever.
Like Peter Parker getting the scoop on Spidey photos, Clark Kent getting the scoop on Superman just feels like fair recompense for BEING Superman and saving the world many times over.
Yeah, but it just sorta feels like something Superman wouldn't do? I mean, I guess he does do it, but I always see him as pure-hearted as can be. Just feels like the vibes are off.

I agree with this point.
I've never felt as if Clark was being dishonest - if we take that line of thinking to its logical conclusion, then the concept of a secret identity itself can be viewed as duplicitous. I like the idea that the public don't even know Superman has a secret identity (I mean this generally speaking, as I haven't seen the movie).

I guess I'm a little weird on it -- I don't mind Superman reporting on events he's participated in, I suppose, but "interviewing" himself seems like a bridge too far?
But whatever, it's worked so far, why mess around with it.
