It shouldn't be shocking, really, considering his lifestyle... but it is. RIP

I was kinda shocked when I saw this considering the recent show Sabbath did. It kinda goes to the old theory that we know when to die..... after the kids finally came bedside thing.

His body was just wore out. We were all lucky to have as long as we did.

I'll give more thoughts later, but for now, RIP, Ozzy, and thanks for my favourite genre of music.

And while it's a shock, it isn't surprising. Even assuming some of the Swiss things I saw chatted about weren't a factor, I've heard too many stories about people passing after major life milestones were achieved to be really surprised. and that's without getting into his health issues.

And it turns out, Sharon may have been right - getting this concert scheduled and giving him something to look forward to may have extended his life.

I was shocked to read of Ozzy’s passing, in light of the recent Back To The Beginning performance. I’m glad the band was able to put aside any differences for one last performance together, and that Ozzy was able to perform, and enjoy the celebration.

R.I.P. Ozzy and thank you for all the great music over the years.

I just found out after I left a movie I was seeing and had my phone off. Just shocking news. So happy that Ozzy had a first rate send off 2 weeks ago. I’ve always loved Black Sabbath from the very beginning and proudly wore my Black Sabbath T-shirt back in the 70s. Then enjoyed Ozzy solo and saw him and Randy at the Nassau Coliseum during the first tour,

RIP Ozzy!

Ozzy was a true original. There was no one else like him on record or on the stage. RIP

RIP mate
Sad news
I became a fan of Black Sabbath around 10 years ago and their first 4 albums are now amongst my favourites

Elton John was pretty much my entry point for rock and roll. Kiss was my entry point for hard rock. But solo Ozzy was my entry point for metal.

Truth be told, I was really more a Randy Rhoads fan than an Ozzy fan (guitarist and all), but you couldn't deny Ozzy's appeal and charisma. He owned the stage, and prowled it like he dared anyone to challenge him. Those first two solo albums (and you can tack Tribute onto this) are pretty much perfection. Not a note out of place on either. And the two albums with Jake are right behind for me. After that, his output was very hit and miss for me (mostly miss, to be honest), and I didn't care for how his camp (mostly Sharon) handled some things. But he still had that charisma.

I was lucky enough to see him four times - Diary tour with Randy, twice with Jake, and the last time was his appearance at the Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert Rally To Restore Sanity in DC. He came out with Zakk to play a bit of "Crazy Train" to counter the O'Jays "Love Train". There were a lot of celebrity appearances that day, but none had the electricity of Ozzy's appearance.

I still play along to tracks from those first two solo albums, and I've come to appreciate Black Sabbath more than I ever did. Dude's been a presence in my life for over 40 years, even if he wasn't as prominent for the last few. Both of my kids commented to me about his death Tuesday. Hard to believe he's gone.

RIP, sir, and thank you for so, so much.

I was a big Black Sabbath fan in my younger days. AXS TV reshowed the Black Sabbath episode of Rock Legends and the Paranoid episode of Classic Albums, both very well done. RIP Ozzy.
