Description
The CD Collection 1971-1975 is the five-disc CD box set that follows its 2021 Record Store Day vinyl exclusive predecessor. Sharing the same tracklist of newly remastered songs and a new original cover from famed illustrator Dave Van Patten, The CD Collection includes five of the band’s early classic albums, recorded after the departure of their former lead-singer Eric Burdon: WAR (1971), All Day Music (1971), The World Is A Ghetto (1972), Deliver The Word (1973), and Why Can’t We Be Friends? (1975).

why would they not include 'eric burdon declares war'.....it has, arguably, their biggest hit.

Chart-wise, "The Cisco Kid" was their biggest chart hit peaking at #2 and going gold versus "Spill The Wine" peaking at #3.

Arguably, perhaps their most well-known hit these days is "Low Rider".

For me - this box is more interesting than the Burdon-War collection.

*Edit - that said - the Burdon one is currently on sale and has a 20% coupon. So ball park $25. Sold!

Yes, I think "Low Rider" would be their most popular song over the years. Lots of covers and it's been sampled by rappers, as well as being used in many commercials and soundtracks through the years. "Why Can't We Be Friends" has also held up pretty well.
