Sorry about the day the Twins had. that was a real dismantling. and moving some of those names didn't make sense to me, but thanks for Varland.

Thanks. It was actually Varland who I thought was making it possible to trade Duran and/or Jax.
So the Twins trade all three and others from the bullpen, too.

Quite a thing to see, actually. Durand is a pure money concern, obviously, but some of those others?
I would think a new team owner would want to buy a team with more assets. But maybe not. As cheap as possible.

But I wasn't watching the team this year anyway. And, in the past, I have wanted to see a big clearance sale.
So, for the first time in over a year, I am actually interested in seeing who exactly the club assembles on the field.

One of the relief pitchers the Mets traded for, Tyler Rogers, is a submariner. This is the photo that's being used to accompany most articles about the trade -- they chose an action shot where it looks like his arm is broken, or dislocated:

While very much hyped, the Twins bullpen was fairly average in results.
15 blown saves, 56% save rate overall. Jax was 0 for 5.
I would have liked to keep Duran and Varland.
The National media is remembering Correa for what he was, and not what he is.
Strong arm defensively, but everything else has deteriorated. He grounds into too many double plays.
Twins have a lot of young guys with a need to play everyday, and this clears SS for Brooks Lee, and 2B for Luke Keaschell.
Half the guys traded were impending free agents anyway.
Next spring the Twins have 7 starting pitchers fighting for 5 spots.
Lopez, Ryan, Ober, Woods-Richardson, Festa, Mathews, and Bradley.
Between the 2024 trade deadline, and the 2025 trade deadline, the Twins were 14th in the AL.
Correa’s contract would have been an anchor over the last three years, it was best to get rid of it.

I followed his career in the minors practically begging anybody who had the ear of the MN Twins to trade
for him. Not only did he look to have a good, unusual delivery, we already had his twin brother playing
for the Twins. WTF passes up on making a trade and a story like that?

As I recall, although Twins, Tyler ended up a lot shorter, like Taylor ate all the beef at the table before Tyler
could get to it when they young, or something like that. ;-)

The Phils have been on fire and Duran has been electric (that intro he comes out to is crazy).

We were at a game last week and though every game is sold out, I’ve never heard it louder then when Duran came in.

Duran was a joy to watch for many years. I hope he does well for you.
I wasn't sure that his new team would keep his intro sequence or not.
For that matter, I don't even know if what you're seeing is what was being experienced in Target Field.

The Twins staff sent his entrance stuff to Philadelphia for them to use.

I will miss Duran and Varland, but the new look infield is exciting to watch.
Trading Correa was the absolutely right thing to do, since it allows Lee and Luke to play everyday.

Honestly, I hadn't listened to a game on the radio all season and haven't paid any real attention to the team
since the collapse of 2024.

But I have regularly read box scores and even listened to an inning the other day after the big trades. The
team is at least of interest to me now, and maybe even be pretty good by the end of 2026.
