The one I'm thinking of was still around in the 80's. They were both a label AND a wholesaler. The won a major lawsuit against the USA major labels over "Parallel imports" (superior pressings of records from other countries imported to the USA).

I'm glad they either didn't shut down or were able to come back. At one time, they were the largest record importer in the USA. And they fought a court battle for all of us & won. I never learned why they weren't awarded attorney fees. There would be no imported physical media if it wasn't for Jem. Though, the tariff's may end up effectively reversing that decision.
