Jeff Shew & The Late-Night Crew Ghosts

They're a local blues band and this is their debut album. Assisting on the album are members of King Bee & the Stingers, another local blues band who are awesome live.

Melanie Phonogenic: Not Just Another Pretty Face

A reissue of her 1977 album on her Neighborhood Records label. A few bonus tracks and a booklet and a better cover than the one from the original LP.

Green Diesel Onward The Sun

A new discovery for me is this folk rock band from the UK- with an emphasis on rock. Will be looking into their back catalog.

Molly Tuttle So Long Little Miss Sunshine

Her new album. Still bluegrass but she moves more into county/country-rock territory. One of the best new albums of the year.

There is not an album from Field Music that I don't like.

Surfer Joe Still Workin' - The Best Of Surfer Joe, Volume 1

Surfer Joe aka Lorenzo Valdambrini may be the best current surf lead guitarist. He also organizes surf music festivals worldwide and sits in with surf instrumental groups on their releases. This CD is a great introduction to his music for the uninitiated.

The Surfin' Lungs Last Wave To Surfsville

The most recent (2023) album from the UK band. They're a 2nd Wave surf band from the 1980s and they mostly perform vocal songs. Love theri stuff.
