Is this reptile week at IMWAN? If it ain't, I'm gonna look goofy pretending to be a skink for the rest of the week at work!

August 31st is Reptile Day at IMWAN! Bonus taffy for all members who wear reptile avatars! But you're covered, Darren. You're a snake in the grass.

I, of course, have gone with a "musical" avatar, as is my wont.
(I tried to keep it Beatle-related, but I couldn't find any pics of Ringo as the Mock Turtle!)

Yeah, it rained most of the day here in this part of Georgia. All it did for me was let my face get all wet, soak up all the water (and sunlight when it came out) and stink. It's one thing for "ceremonies" or whatever but good lord, trying to PMCS a truck or conduct some sort of training while wearing them is just ridiculous. But I guess certain "gentlemen" need to have something to be remembered for when they retire.

Wait a minute, aren't geckos amphibians?
At first glance, they resemble amphibians more than lizards. However, according to Encyclopedia Britannica:
GECKO also spelled gekko, any lizard of the harmless but noisy family Gekkonidae, which contains about 80 genera and about 750 species. Geckos are small, usually nocturnal reptiles with a soft skin, a short, stout body, large head, and weak limbs often equipped with suction-padded digits. Most species are 3 to 15 cm (1.2 to 6 inches) long, including tail length (about half the total).
