Ummmm....

I've gotta say that I really enjoyed that. Seriously. You've successfully communicated the entire story without words - something even the most talented artists cannot do. Your inking is very distinct and works well for your style.

Very nice, you have a style that looks like Allred mixed with Timm.

I must have looked ten times at the three panel sequence where the whacked off tentacle sprouts the jiggly multiple tentacles.

You're quite good at drawing disgusting, pulsating goo aliens.

Thanks, glad you guys like it! I don't have much more readily on hand at the moment-- I have a new computer and don't have my older stuff on here.

I'm going to try to force myself to draw some shit tomorrow for the Zuda comics thing that's going on. When I get it all scanned in at some point, I'll drop the art on here...

Hey, here's some shit I posted on another message board in like, '06. This is a kids comic idea I had with a buddy about a Calvin and Hobbes trio of kids who are part of a superhero team but then just end up arguing with each other.

Wow, these are especially great! I love that second page. The anatomy is more stylized than the "cartoon realism" of classic ''60s and '70s super hero art, but not as stiff and bizarre as many modern comics, either. At the same time, it's reminiscent of the "simpler time" all-ages books. Very unique!

Hey, I remember all of these! That second batch of sequentials (and everything to that story in general) was always some of my favorite stuff.

Yeah, looking over the Pulp Trio pages, I can honestly say I like them better than the style I've been doing recently. I think I've finally realized that trying to ape Art Adams isn't in the cards for me.

Your anatomy and figure work has certainly improved. The stuff above is fun, but it's easy to see the strides you've made.

My only comment is the rain in the first panel makes it a bit hard to see what's going on. Maybe a lighter lineweight would help a bit.

But really, past that I like what you do, Hanzo.

Try ripping off Neal Adams, Hanzo. I'd be curious to see the results.

I have way too cartoony sensibilities to ape Neal, but I would love it if I could.

Waaaay late to this Hanzo, but VERY nice stuff. Clean and crisp. Strong storytelling. I would buy a book featuring the characters at the beginning of this thread.
