They allowed him that one F-bomb for the PG-13 rating. I think the studio made a big deal about it at the time.
I enjoyed it on the big screen, too. After seeing this one I wouldn't bitch too much if they kept making them in that manner.
I would like it more if they kept the CGI to a minimum, or out altogether. Something about the craft of stunt work, knowing that what we're seeing on the screen is "real" (although with a few hidden bits of safety gear and such) gives a bigger thrill than all the massive CGI explosions in Hollywood.

I'd have to say that, comparatively, the level of CGI in LFoDH was relatively low when stacked up against the other summer movie usual suspects.

Enjoyed it a great deal. However, there weren't enough massive robots punching each other. That was left to the real film of the year.
