http://thecelebritycafe.com/features/19628.htmlStone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland is almost done with his second solo album, which is currently slated for a November 25 release.
The album, titled Happy, is co-produced by Steve Albini and Doug Grean, and will be released through Weiland's own Softdrive label, reported the Hollywood Reporter. Albini is also responsible for the production of certain tracks off the album.
The entire tracklist has yet to be announced, however, some tracks have surfaced over recent weeks. These include the crunchy "Paralysis," the largely unplugged "She's So Cold," the standard-fare upbeat "Talk About Love," the pop leaning "Somedays" and "Missing Cleveland," a track that incorporates elements of Stone Temple Pilots and former band Velvet Revolver.
Joining Weiland in the studio for Happy are three members of band No Doubt, and no, Gwen Stefani is not one of them. Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young all offer guest appearances on the album.
While Weiland is currently touring the country with the recently reunited Stone Temple Pilots, he does plan to tour in support of his solo project too, reported THR. The "Happy" tour is expected to kick off in November. No dates have been set so far.
Scott Weiland is back with Stone Temple Pilots after serving as the Velvet Revolver frontman. The band is still looking for a replacement, and at one point, there was even speculation that Lenny Kravitz might pick up the role. Kravitz denied the rumors.
Happy will follow Weiland's 1998 solo album, 12 Bar Blues.
