It would be cool if they did a 70’s Marvel Monsterbus featuring Frankenstein and others.

And with Marvel Masterworls on hiatus, my dream of getting a Monster of Frankenstein
MMW one day is all but lost. So, some sort of Omnibus or Artist Edition is the next best chance.

They did do a stand alone Monster of Frankenstein in paperback a few years back that had most everything. I bought it -- it's put together kind of like an Epic Collection, but without that branding.

Thanks for posting this. I need to get it at some point. I loved those comics as a kid.

Yeah, I'd really like to have just the Ploog Monster stuff altogether in one Monsterbus.

The Frankenstein Monster #12 (1974) was one of my earliest comic books off the rack. My dad bought it for me when I was 5. Before that, some Bugs Bunny type stuff, but it was one of my first more serious comic books. Coincidentally, it's the issue where they decided to have the Monster sleep in the ice and jump forward to present day (up until then it was Mary Shelley era Frankenstein).

I have that issue -- I think I tracked it down as an adult.

My oldest brother (no longer with us), grew up with a fascination for the Universal Monsters and old Hammer/horror flicks.
He was not much into comics, and rarely ever bought any. He picked up an occasional DC Horror book, even a Haunted
Romance one, I recall. One day I found he had left this one on the floor of the boys' bedroom. It was the first time I saw
a comic book penciled by Mike Ploog:

Not too long after that, I found (and bought) a roughly-treated copy of Werewolf by Night #1 at a school book sale for 10¢.
I really was enjoying his art by then. My sister also had bought some early issues of Ghost Rider. It's all great stuff. Those,
along with the Man-Thing, would make for a very compelling Monsterbus collection.
